Our firm represented the applicant in Civil Application 48/2022 in the course of which on the 30th May 2022 the Supreme Court cancelled the arrest warrant issued against our client. The Attorney-General's office did not contest the application, agreeing with the merits of the case.
The Supreme Court agreed with the applicant that the police's failure to disclose to the District Judge that the suspect against whom the arrest warrant was being sought was at the police station, off his own accord, giving a statement to the police, was a crucial omission.
